Last Friday we spontaneously decided to go again to Red Lobster. This restaurant does give a welcomed feeling. The waitress was bringing water without a request.
I had the 4-Course Feast. It started with New England Clam Chowder and as a salad I picked the Caesar. The taste of the chowder was nutty and buttery. I found myself really liking the soup. It had just enough bits of clam. The portion size wasn’t overwhelming. The salad was fresh and pleasant. Still, I would have liked a bit more croutons, but the amount of cheese was just right for my style.
Main course was Fire-Grilled Chicken with Portobello Wine Sauce. Sadly this entrée didn’t impress me. The mashed potatoes were bland and the chicken could’ve had a much more kick from the grill. I couldn’t really make a difference to a meal at home from a regular pan.
I pointed out that the entrée was lacking sauce. This is a thing that divides people for sure: some like a lot and others not that much. Still, the sauce was flavorful, but the sidekick of broccoli missed seasoning. Dessert was Caramel Cheesecake. It was sweet. The texture wasn’t sticky. But, again the amount of sauce was just a tease.
All in all, the service was friendly and effective. The drinks, Mojito and Long Island Iced Tea, weren’t leaving us unsatisfied. Mojito had dry soda and minty kick. Long Island Iced Tea had the right amount of sourness.
We will definitely go again to the Red Lobster.
