Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) was dressed the way you may expect for a Disney film to be. The film started with a mysterious rattle that expanded to an enormous adventure with a pleasant ending.
The film held us in a suspense by keeping its main star Johnny Depp under wraps during opening scene that lasted for a good while. It made us even to wonder if Depp was in a psychical role or just having few appearances here and there.
However, the plot rolled forward effortlessly and Depp made his entry to the story as Captain Jack Sparrow in a way that made the audience giggle. It is a little bit fascinating how Depp can interpret the woozy and rum sipping character without appearing slackly.
The special effects on the film were fun to watch. We did not see any scene going too tricky with the cinematography or trying to be overwhelmingly cool. The overall vibe of the story was really entertaining and even hilarious at some parts.
All on all, once in while it is nice to see a film that is magical instead of realistic. In other words, a film that doesn’t try to be political statement about global warming or artistic enigma with no tangible ending. Sometimes it’s just nice to see a film that is a delightful fantasy without being cheesy and childish.
